White Oak EMS
As the United Way launches its 2024-2025 fundraising appeal, White Oak EMS would like to remind contributors that the volunteer emergency ambulance service is a United Way Donor Option participant.  Oftentimes, corporations and businesses, large and small, conduct an appeal for United Way Contributions. Unless designated, contributions are put into a pool and are distributed by the United Way.  Contributors have no control over how and where their money is spent.  The Donor Option program gives total control to the contributor.
Directing your funds to White Oak EMS is simple.  All the contributor needs to do is mark the number 2323 in the Donor Option area of the contribution pledge card and the United Way will direct your contribution to White Oak EMS.
Funds received from the United Way Donor Option Program are used exclusively for training of emergency personnel and to purchase lifesaving equipment to be used on our Advanced Life Support Ambulances as we provide care to residents in White Oak Borough, South Versailles Township, Versailles Borough and surrounding communities.
White Oak, South Versailles and Versailles residents are reminded the United Way Donor Option Program is not to be confused with the Ambulance Plan.  Contributions through the United Way are not co-mingled with those of the Plan.  Residents will still be required to enroll separately in the Plan to gain Plan benefits.
If potential contributors would like additional information on how to control their tax-deductible United Way donations, contributors are asked to call White Oak EMS for more details.
