Search and Rescue
White Oak EMS Search & Rescue (WOSAR) was created to provide aid for those missing or lost. Created in 2005, WOSAR has responded to hundreds of SAR calls and saved countless lives.
The Incident Rehab Team (IRT) was designed to meet the requirements of PA Department of Health protocols to provide “rehab” at major incident scenes. Our rehab capabilities can be provided via a single ambulance or full rehab response, which includes the rehab trailer towed by one of our specialty vehicles.
The Disaster Response Team (DRT) was created when WOEMS was awarded one of the FEMA/AMR National Disaster Response contracts. WOEMS can respond a single unit anywhere from the Mississippi River to the East Coast.
Rescue Task Force
The Rescue Task Force (RTF) was created in 2016 to satisfy the need to move EMS operations from the “cold zone” to the “warm zone” in response to any terrorist or active shooter incidents. To be a member of the RTF, candidates must pass an intensive 8-week training program and meet physical fitness requirements.
