About White Oak EMS
White Oak EMS was founded in 1984 and proudly serves White Oak Borough, South Versailles Township, and Versailles Borough. White Oak Borough covers 6.7 square miles with a population of approximately 8,000 residents — a mix of commercial and residential property including a county park, elementary and intermediate schools, and the Penn State Greater Allegheny campus. South Versailles Township covers 1.0 square miles with approximately 500 residents along the East bank of the Youghiogheny River. Versailles Borough covers 0.5 square miles with approximately 1,500 residents. White Oak EMS also provides mutual aid to neighboring communities.
Along with emergency service, White Oak EMS participates in the UPMC PARC transportation program and provides transportation services to The Children's Home of Pittsburgh and the Lemieux Family Center.
